WHAT MADE YOU START PRACTISING HYPNOTHERAPY?
I have always been interested in how the mind works. With hypnotherapy, we can get to the cause of issues quickly and work on new positive, empowering patterns & beliefs.
MOST INTERESTING TREATMENT YOU HAVE EVER BEEN INVOLVED IN?
I had a client who came to see me for lack of self-confidence, lack of motivation and very little self-worth. During the intake I always ask what triggers or symptoms are associated with their issue to which my client responded she had the usual childhood issues, not popular at school, struggled to fit in etc.
During regression she recalled being attacked when she was very young and when she told her parents, they basically told her to just forget about it and it was never discussed, nor was she offered any counselling or therapy. As this wasn’t mentioned in her intake, it was interesting that she felt ok recalling it in regression but not actually talking to me about it.
She had pushed this trauma so far down that consciously, it didn’t happen. Her lack of self-confidence and self-worth made absolute sense to her when putting everything together, she realised she felt like she wasn’t heard by her parents & she wasn’t allowed to process the trauma because her parents ignored it.
TOP TIPS FOR SOMEONE CONSIDERING HYPNOTHERAPY?
– Just do it!
– If you think you may have trouble going into hypnosis (ie you don’t relax easily), listen to some guided meditations.
– Think of what your life would be like without the issue you currently have. That life is potentially only 21 days away (using RTT®).

LOCALS TIP FOR FREE ACTIVITIES ON THE GC?
We usually have Frankie Mae and Meatball (doggies!) with us on days off, so we head to the beach and water ways at Palm Beach (previously Pirate Park).
