Mental health refers to our state of mind & ability to cope with trials going on around us.
Someone with healthy mental health usually feels capable of dealing with different everyday situations that they find themselves in.
When we have unhealthy mental health, the day to day occurrences are a struggle, & we need some help.
All we may need is some education, someone to hear us, somewhere safe to speak. A simplified definition of mental health – but it’s quite normal for everyone to have mental health issues from time to time.
A mental illness, is very different. It requires a diagnosis by a medical professional, such as a GP, Psychologist and/or Psychiatrist. Even then, there is hope & there is help.
